Oh! Yesterday (2 ) is a mixed media piece created with acrylic paint, collage elements, charcoal, wax crayons, oil sticks, and graphite.   It's framed in a contemporary white floater frame, 14"x14", signed by the artist and ready to hang.  It may also be displayed on a bookcase or table top easel.  It's perfect when paired with the companion painting, Oh! Yesterday, found on this site.

This painting was inspired by my many memories of visiting the beach as a child, as well as my recent intrigue with the resiliency of the beautiful palm trees that surround me. More recently the memories emerge as I visit  the beach as an adult, always preferring to stay in "yesterdays" cottages rather than today's contemporary high rises.  It's the feeling of "cozy" that I love, as these cottages are crowed in, allowing vacationers to get to know  their "neighbors", sometimes chatting around a fire pit with views and sounds of the ocean .  This is my favorite type of artist retreat....spread out in one of yesterday's cottages and letting paint fly as coastal vibes find my canvas!
